About Sweetwater Rustics
I was born in rural Nebraska and drifted into Wyoming in 1978. I have worked as a finish carpenter for over 40 years and have built furniture for the last 15 years. Old Shaker, Mission, and Stickley style furniture inspire much of my work. The beautiful coloring of beetle kill pine works well with these styles of furniture. Also, using this wood helps to reduce the threat of wildfires. It allows me to be involved with the whole process from logging and milling to the very final finish. I also work with salvage hardwood from Nebraska and Wyoming when available.
